Lullaby

Sleep
sings to me in the night

croons of why
old as stones
the lullaby

lilts
of lost dreams
of treasured things
of unhindered oblivion

with
moon and milk my company

this small fist, tiny sigh
sweet breath
brings

less sleep, yes,
but waking bliss

SWK, such kind words from the verse novelist Herself!

Tricia, Thank you! I've love your blog haiku fest!!

Rayna, thanks for inspiring her name!

Thank you Julia! New babies have a heavenly glow about them which makes all the crying so much more tolerable.
